1990 marked the start of several major local initiatives including our independent West Midlands Women in Business Association being established - affectionately known as ‘WiBA’
Over the last 30 years+ WiBA has organised regular events helping women at all stages of their working lives, to inspire, develop skills and knowledge, network but most of all join a supportive, friendly, like-minded community. Our members have grown, changed roles, careers, learnt new skills, shared opportunities, been inspired by women of achievement, raised charitable funds, showcased businesses and venues and made lasting connections. We’ve rebranded and regularly elected new committee members, whilst delivering value, topics and events of interest ever since.
Our 30th anniversary in 2020 meant the pandemic put paid to celebrating our milestone event. We were determined that when the time was right, we’d invite past, present and future WiBA members, guests, friends, colleagues, past speakers and committee members to a celebratory event.
In true WiBA tradition of showcasing new venues, we’re delighted to invite you to our anniversary event – with tasty bowl food and drinks reception at Chapter neighbourhood restaurant. Chapter is an independent community venue in the heart of Edgbaston Village serving quality, seasonal British produce ingredients with the ethos and service of its top team’s former ventures, including Opus Birmingham where we celebrated our 20th!
We’re inviting WiBA connections from over the years and welcome new friends in this much awaited opportunity to socialise, reacquaint and make new contacts.

The event costs £35 for WiBA members and £39 for guests and includes bowls of wild mushroom and truffle risotto, macaroni cheese and puy lentil chilli with two drinks (wine, beer, soft drink) per person included.
Parking is available in Edgbaston Village behind Chapter on a UKPC metered carpark/RingGo parking app location 33612 and some street parking available in the vicinity.
