Join WiBA as we welcome Inez Brown, newly appointed President of the Birmingham Law Society and the first Black woman to hold this prestigious office. Inez will share her inspiring journey through life and law, explain how she has made history with her Presidential appointment and what has inspired her to work towards this goal, her aspirations for her year at the top, the legacy she hopes to leave behind as she seeks to focus on inclusion and diversity and the wider role we can all play in supporting diversity and inclusion whatever our organisation and role.

Inez Brown is a Partner and Head of Clinical Negligence at Medical Accident Group, part of the Harrison Clark Rickerbys Group. Supporting people to obtain compensation after catastrophic and life changing injuries, Inez has built her career over 20 years and used her experience to support clients at the most difficult point of their life, whilst also volunteering with the Birmingham Law Society for over 9 years, culminating in her appointment as President.

This event will involve Inez speaking about her journey before participating in an interview to enable attendees to this event to get to know her better and have their questions answered. If you have a question you would like to Inez to answer, there will be an opportunity to add this to the interviewer’s list through the Eventbrite booking system. Depending on timing we may also be able to open up the floor to direct questions.
